MYSTIC, CT. LABOR DAY WEEKEND SEPT 4-5-6 OLDE MISTICK VILLAGE 37th ANNUAL JURIED SHOW=MEET THE ARTISTS/ARTISANS! exit 90 I-95 free public admission held rain or shine. Hours; 10-6 Sat.& Sun. 10-4 Mon. 60 fine artists and handcrafters, paint, sketch, carve, and discuss their original only work.
Featured are metal sculptors Ron Stinson-PA - contemporary wall hangings, water fountains, yard art. Domenic Belli-NY-Large outdoor fanciful garden sculptures welded of recycled metal, indoor furniture. Featured Fine Art paintings by Denise m. Curt-Renaissance gem tempera paint recipes on stilled violins, cello’s, antique wooden panels; Bruce Dumas-Realistic acrylic ptg. on canvas of coastal New England harbors and sea scenes. Fran Henderson-On location palette knife oil paintings of flora, island porches, wall murals. Carl Richards-acrylic studies of musicians in impressionistic, unconventional, and unusual views. Greg Stones-brightly morbid watercolors of penguins, zombresi and nudes.

Surrounding the ancient corn crib are: Mike McCarthy hand carving water birds on site, Roy Peters carves and plays Native wooden flutes, Thom Cassotta, etches and wood burns panoramic collages. Anna Liss creates clay Victorian jewelry, Susan Swinney’ s found art to wear constructions, Joan Kubinec stitches fabric for accessories and table linens, Elinor Higgins-historic doll ensembles, Nancy Lee-seasonal wearing apparel for children; Jewelers include dichroic/ fused and sea glass, hand crafted sterling for men and women by- R. Andrews, L .Chaffin, L. Davidson, J. Johnson, C. McLain, L. Weller. Dyed natural indigo spreads and bags byShengzhu Bernardin. Wood = 3 D intarsia-M. Iacona, inlaid boxes and pens-D.
